An Affair of the Heart: Montesquieu Winery Collaborates to Honor St. Jude in Las Vegas

We at Montesquieu Winery are pleased to announce our partnership with St. Jude for the second annual Las Vegas Honors St. Jude: An Affair of the Heart fundraiser gala May 21, 2011 at the Mandarin Oriental.

St. Jude is known worldwide for pioneering research and treatment of children with cancer and other major diseases. Ranked the No. 1 pediatric cancer hospital by Parents magazine and the No. 1 children’s cancer hospital by U.S. News & World Report, St. Jude is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children.

The results are amazing: St. Jude has developed protocols that have helped push overall survival rates for childhood cancers from less than 20 percent when the hospital opened in 1962 to 80 percent today!

Furthermore, the extensive research findings at St. Jude are shared freely with doctors and scientists all over the world, which include more articles in academic journals than any other pediatric cancer research center in the United States.

At the heart of all these vital advancements is the genuine commitment to the well-being of children. St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance, so no child is ever denied treatment because of the family’s inability to pay. An Affair of the Heart will be a red carpet event and dinner set in the theme of the streets of Paris during the turn of the 20^th century. The event will feature an original art exhibit, top-notch entertainment, live and silent auction, and gourmet reception and dinner with high-end, limited production wines from our international portfolio of Montesquieu Wines.

Our participation as the exclusive wine sponsor for the event is especially rewarding and includes an exciting high-end array of some of our very special wines. We will be pouring a special select Champagne for the “Streets of Paris” reception. One of the highlights of the evening will be a “Wine Wall” raffle featuring a collection of international Montesquieu Wines designed to enhance any cellar.
